Client Profile

The client is a leader in commercial real estate property owners contact information management.

Business situation

The client had a web application to sale the contact details of commercial real estate owners. But the backend of the application was not good enough to efficiently handle large number of records. As a result, the client was losing a large number of potential online customers. In order to improve the existing application, the client decided to enhance the functionality, looks and database of the system.

Technical situation

On priority, it was decided to enhance the user experience, modify and program the database to manage large records (generally in the tune of millions) and to separate presentation and business logic. At later stages, the functionality was added for online order and payment processing, order tracking flagging the property records (the contact numbers) in the database with national and international DNC tag. This involved developing a strong admin control panel which provides various features to manage large database of properties. Challenges were to import big CSV files holding information of millions of properties into database, owner consolidation, maintaining transaction history of each property and providing latest information for each, and to export selected property information.
