IT Vendor Engagement Models
|
"Fixed Monthly Price Programming Support" Model
Overview
Be it product development or turnkey portal building, feature enhancement is the key to the success. If the product is not upgraded timely, it may become obsolete. But at the same time, this feature enhancement has to be cost effective. To bridge these two ends, hiring a dedicated team of offshore programmers at affordable rates is the solution one can hardly refuse. This IT vendor engagement model is suitable for projects involving high intensity maintenance (feature addition, bug fixing etc) of applications and portals.
How it works
- We will study your application from technology and domain perspective.
- Depending on the type of the application and the volume of the work, we will assign a team of programmer(s) and project manager for your project.
- A dedicated IT infrastructure (workstations, computers, internet etc) will be made available to the programmers working on your project.
- The programmers will work as per your expectations about quality and timeline.
- We will maintain a bench of backup programmer(s) in case the assigned programmer is not available for some reason. In such situations, we will take care of smooth knowledge transfer and takeover by new resource.
- One programmer will approximately work for 160 hrs in a month.
- The programmer(s) assigned for your project will be available for communication with you via email, phone and instant messenger.
- We are open to use any project management software / tool that you wish to use for task allocation, progress tracking and status reporting.
- We will invoice you at the end of every month.
- Technologies catered are PHP, ASP.NET and Java
"Fixed Price, Fixed Bid" Model
Overview
As a service buyer, you will always want to know how much you are paying and what you are getting in return. Fixed price engagement model is the best fitted in such situations as it gives minimum exposure to risk and is most transparent. This IT vendor engagement model is ideal when the requirements and scope of the project is well defined and frozen.
How it works

- We will submit you the proposal and effort estimate for approval. The proposal will detail our understanding and the scope of the project, development approach, technical approach, project planning, testing approach, rollout schedule and cost estimate. The effort estimate sheet will detail the module wise estimated efforts.
- Upon receiving go-ahead to our proposal, we will assign a team of programmer(s) for your project.
- The project status and progress will be reported to you on weekly basis by email or project management tool.
- Dedicated team of testers will be assigned for the project to ensure bug-free output.
- We will be responsible for coding as well as project management.
- The programmer(s) allocated on the project will be available for direct communication with you via email, and instant messenger.
- We will invoice you at mutually defined and agreed milestones.
- Technologies catered are PHP, ASP.NET and Java
"Per Hour Programming Support" Model
Overview
Post development maintenance and fixing minor issues is an integral part of any project. In such situations, it is not always feasible and profitable for you to find a new vendor for every new programming and maintenance requirement. Contracting with one single vendor is always advisable in such cases. This IT vendor engagement model is most suitable for low intensity maintenance of applications.

- We will assign an appropriate programmer(s) for your task(s).
- You will be updated regularly about the status / progress.
- The programmer assigned for your task(s) will be available for communication via email, phone, and instant messenger.
- We will invoice you for the number of hours spent on your task(s).
