Purpose

To develop a Tasks And Staff Scheduling Application encompassing the functionality of employee’s weekly shifts scheduling. This shift scheduling website is useful for businesses like shops, kiosks, cafes and bars.

Business Need

Manual scheduling involves checking the availability of employees in the content of their work profile, role, working hours, vacations and number of agreed working hours. Manual scheduling is time consuming, tedious and error prone job. Hence, the client decided to develop web based software application for tasks and employee scheduling.

Solution

For the effective utilization of organization’s manpower, it was decided to develop a Tasks And Staff Scheduling Application in asp.net that can ensure real time and effective management of employee scheduling. The target group of the application contains owners of small businesses like shops, convenience stores, kiosks, cafes and bars. The solution comprises the task of scheduling and providing week wise pictorial representation of schedule. The application maintains the records of schedules and communicates the same to the employees through email. The target audiences of the system who earlier used to spend a lot of time on planning the employee schedules manually can now manage the same task in less than 15 minutes a week.
